What does 'Behind content' versus 'Over content' mean?
'Over content' places the watermark in front of the existing text and images, making it always visible. 'Behind content' places it beneath the existing layer so the original document content remains fully readable while the watermark shows through unpopulated areas.
How does tiling work?
Tiling mode repeats the watermark in a staggered diagonal grid across the full page — the standard pattern for CONFIDENTIAL and DRAFT stamps on sensitive documents. Without tiling, the watermark appears once at the position you choose.
Can I control how visible the watermark is?
Yes. Opacity is adjustable from 10% (very faint, almost invisible) to 100% (fully opaque). For most professional use cases, 20–40% is the standard range — visible on careful inspection but not distracting during normal reading.
Will the watermark apply to every page in the document?
By default, yes. The tool also supports applying the watermark to a page range or skipping the first N pages, which is useful for documents where the cover page should remain clean.
