How to Use This Portfolio Tracker
- Select a coin from the dropdown — all top 50 coins by market cap are available.
- Enter your quantity — how many coins or tokens you hold (decimals are fine, e.g. 0.25 BTC).
- Enter your buy price — the average price you paid per coin in USD.
- Click Add — your holding appears in the table with live current value and P&L.
- Prices auto-refresh every 60 seconds. Your holdings are saved between sessions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is my portfolio data private?
Yes. Your holdings are stored entirely in your browser using localStorage. No data is ever sent to our servers or any third party. If you clear your browser data, your portfolio will be cleared too.
How are current prices calculated?
Prices are fetched from live market data and cached globally every 60 seconds. All visitors see the same consistent prices at the same time.
What does cost basis mean?
Cost basis is the total amount you paid for your holdings — quantity multiplied by your buy price. It is used to calculate your profit or loss when compared to the current market value.
Can I track multiple purchases of the same coin?
Yes — add the same coin multiple times with different buy prices to track separate purchases. Each appears as a separate row in the table.
Why is my P&L showing 0 or wrong?
Make sure the coin you selected is in our top-50 list and that live prices have loaded. If prices show "…" the data is still loading — wait a moment and they will update automatically.
